Anti-social behaviour, shop theft and drugs around the Longbridge retail and South & City College area. Concerns highlighted to local officers and from call data received to WMP with incidents to this locality.

What’s Been Happening?

It has been a very hot and sunny week for the Neighbourhood Team, and we been out in our community continuing to engage, listen and support. We held our PCSO Meets the Community outside M&S on Longbridge Retail Park and have been made aware of issues important to the residents and have conducted patrols to provide a more visible presence and deal with any issues we come across.

 An abandoned Luton Van was reported on Ringwood Avenue, we made enquiries and found the van did not have any road tax and was subsequently seized. Quite an impressive feat from Jacksons Recovery service.

PCSO O’Driscoll attended The Green Meadow Primary School’s World of Work Day which involved talking to multiple groups of Year 6 pupils about the role of a PCSO and the experiences you have within the job. All the pupils were very enthusiastic, polite and interested. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. 

We also supported the U12 Sunday Football Team playing on Fields Lane, Merritts Brook. Great to see the team play and all the parents who were cheering them on. 

High visibility patrols were also conducted around the Al-Madhi Institute for the beginning of the Islamic New Year.

Look Out For

PCSO Meets The Community outside Marks and Spence on Longbridge Retail Park 10th July 15:00-16:00- A separate meeting notice will be sent out a few days before.
